A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend an Act re-creating and establishing a Board of Commissioners of Barrow County, approved April 2, 1976 (Ga. L. 1976, p. 4033), as amended, so as to provide for powers and duties of the chairperson of the board; to provide for compensation of the chairperson; to provide for appointment of a county manager and the powers and duties thereof; to provide for meetings, voting, and quorum of the board; to provide for a referendum; to provide for submission under the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965, as amended; to provide for effective dates; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
