Partial individual-choice coverage: Lester Miller only. Outcome not normalized; see the official narrative. Official narrative (decoded plain text): In 1994, the School District, in partnership with the Medical Center of Central Georgia, began providing nursing services in our schools. Since 2000, funding for the program has been primarily provided by the state through H.B.1187. Due to the alignment of the contract days for the nursing staff to the 190 day contracts of the teaching staff, the contract amount proposed for the upcoming school year has been increased from $445,820.94 to $464,476.84. This increase in contract days will allow for additional disease management, enhanced parent education, updated first responder guidelines, disaster preparedness drills, and additional training and workshops for the nursing, teaching and support staffs in each of the schools. Our agreement with the Medical Center needs to be renewed to reflect the new "do not exceed" amount and an extension of the term of the contract through the end of the upcoming fiscal year. Approval is also being requested to transfer $17,492 from contingency to cover this contract as the final adopted budget for FY2015 only included $446,985 for nursing services. If approved, this transaction will be in included in the initial FY2015 Superintendent’s Recommended Budget Amendment. A motion to approve the Schoolhouse Health Agreement with the Medical Center of Central Georgia was made by Mr. Miller; seconded by Dr. West and approved 8-0. Motion made by: Mr. Lester M. Miller Motion seconded by: Dr. Wanda West

Partial individual-choice coverage: Lester Miller only. Outcome not normalized; see the official narrative. Official narrative (decoded plain text): In preparation for the replacement of the roof some issues were discovered with the roof mounted HVAC units for the building. As part of the roof project these units would have to be removed and reinstalled to accommodate the new roof. This is due to the current units not properly fitting the roof adapters and not mounted high enough to allow for adequate roof insulation. Given the age and condition of these units it is not recommended that these units be reinstalled once removed. Replacement of these units is recommended as part of this project.     The estimated budget to replace these units is $300,000. These funds are available in the SPLOST general contingency. The general contingency balance is currently $3,048,786. A motion to increase the budget $300,000 to allow for HVAC replacement was made by Mr. Miller; seconded by Ms. Farmer and approved 8-0. Motion made by: Mr. Lester M. Miller Motion seconded by: Mrs. Lynn Farmer
