Mr. Sam Macfie, Board Chairman of the Communities In Schools of Central GA and Taryn Collinsworth, Executive Director of Communities In Schools of Central GA both supported the initiatives to assist the Hutchings Career Center and Northeast High School. Board members authorized the District to apply for funding from the Communities in Schools (CIS) Network Empowerment Initiative to implement CISGA Performance Learning Centers at Hutchings Career Center and Northeast High School. The CISGA Performance Learning Center is an initiative of Communities in Schools that will assist the District in producing more high school graduates, increasing college success rates and improving overall student outcomes.
